Welcome to our newest Principal, Lexi Henkel!

We’d like to extend a warm welcome to Lexi Henkel, the newest investor at Maverick Ventures.

As a Principal, Lexi will focus on early-stage healthcare and technology investments. Lexi is officially planting the Maverick Ventures flag on the East Coast — she will be based in New York City and will help expand our community of entrepreneurs and strategic partners from coast to coast.

Lexi’s passion lies at the intersection of early-stage company building, healthcare and technology. She was previously on the founding team of TMRW Life Sciences, a fertility technology startup where she ran finance and strategy. Lexi worked closely with the co-CEOs to grow the company from pre-revenue stage through commercial launch and from less than 10 employees to 150. She also helped lead three rounds of fundraising as TMRW scaled from Series A through Series C. Lexi started her career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley.

Lexi earned her BA from Yale, where she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a dual degree in Economics and Spanish. A condensed version of her Economics thesis, “The Effect of Acquisitions on Pharmaceutical Drug Prices,” was published in a peer-reviewed medical journal. She also holds an MBA from Stanford University, where she was President and CFO of the Healthcare Club.

We are thrilled for Lexi to expand our coverage in the many areas of healthcare and technology we are tracking closely — from generative AI to tech-enabled services and women’s health. Lexi is eager to partner with entrepreneurs solving the most complex challenges in healthcare and technology.
